I've Run Away and Joined the Circus

Join the Circus

I’m all excited because I’m now blogging a few times a week over at LuckyOliver. It’s always flattering when invitations to blog for someone come down through the telegraph wire, but it really is a lot more exciting when:

  • You’re a true evangelist for the gig
  • The client is a true believer in paying you for your services
  • You get to blog as you and not as Charlie CEO or Mary from Marketing (Ghost blogging happens more often that you might think. Also there is no Santa. Sorry to crush your illusions.)

The totally adorable custom icon is just a bonus, although I freakin’ love it – I’ve always wanted my own megaphone. It’s seriously the nicest thing anyone’s ever made me.

It always takes me a few posts to find my feet with this sort of thing, but hopefully there will be some good stuff around design coming out over there. I’m not the World’s Greatest Designer by any stretch of the imagination; I’m a jobbing designer – like a jobbing actor you’ve never heard of, I work, and I work regularly. I’ll never be a design celebrity, but I do a lot of regular jobs for regular clients and hopefully that will bring a useful, everyday desiger’s perspective to the LO blog.

Err, eventually.
