Pride is a Sin
Recent realisations about which I am inordinately pleased, but probably should not be:
- The last time John was away and the housekeeper was on holiday, I had to download a diagram of our hoover in order to locate the ON button
- Having cheerfully agreed to make coffee for a meeting, I discovered I had no idea how to do it because I’ve never used instant coffee in my life.
- I have lived in Cork for two years and have yet to get on a bus.
Possibly I should also point out that I lived in London for seven years without ever getting on a bus before I met John. Had there not been direct service from Liverpool Street Station to his front door, I’m not sure we would have dated long enough to get married.
